VANCE GILBERT

I have worked with Vance, as both his industry promoter and adult supervision for many years.  We have witnessed many changes in the business of music together, record labels, distribution, recording contracts, radio support, digital platforms and more developments.  One thing that has not changed is the value and the freedom of live performance.  Vance is a master at connecting with an audience, and engaging their attention and devotion to his message.  It has driven him to 150 shows a year, supporting the finest in music and comedy, including Dar Williams, Richard Thompson, Paul Reiser and many more.  He did 60s shows with George Carlin back in his day.  Vance does a 90 minute livestream show every Monday night, as he has since the beginning of the pandemic, which is now over 250 shows, each with a fundraising beneficiary in the Boston area.  I have learned crazy techniques for public speaking and stage management from working and watching Vance at his craft.
