burning bus!

Lancaster Pennsylvania’s burningbus! recorded and released two albums, Sunny Side Up and Greener. Both records received critical acclaim, airplay and success in the mid-Atlantic US. Led by the duo of Loretta and Trixi, burningbus! made music that was not necessary to categorize. Gorgeous vocals, personal lyrics, stellar instrumentation, complex arrangements and huge poly-rhythms, the music would take any number of directions, all with the unique presentation of burningbus!. The band toured extensively throughout the Northeast, and developed a solid following while playing with the likes of Dave Matthews Band, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Boxing Ghandi’s and many others. Since disbanding, all of the members have been busy with projects.  A favorite night, and amazing night in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square outside in the park, the evening of the day the music world was rocked by  Jerry Garcia’s death.  The band played an extended jam version of ‘Crazy Fingers’ for the huge crowd in the park and just set a tone for the evening and the circumstance.
